National Whiteboard Network
The benefits of using interactive whiteboards are becoming more apparent in schools across the country. Teachers need to be trained on how to make best use of the new technology. To equip teachers with the skills they will require, the Government has set up The National Whiteboard Network.
The information available on the site is both useful and practical as it is designed specifically with teachers in mind and informs them of suitable detail only. There is no MFL specific material on the website, but language teachers should find the MS Office tutorials useful for creating interactive worksheets, marking corrections and making PowerPoint presentations. A lot can be achieved in using readily available software such as MS Office and these tutorials show how this can be done with a simple step by step approach. To help schools use interactive whiteboards effectively, all LEAs have been encouraged to join the Primary National Interactive Whiteboard Network.
