Moving towards script writing
Pupils completed worksheets, comprehension and text-manipulation activities, such as sentence re-construction, as the teacher continued to develop the building of longer sentences on the topic of school, subjects, preferences, and school facilities. The next step was for pupils to identify useful language which could be adapted later into an audio script to be recorded in the photo story. To this end, a stimulus letter to an imaginary Spanish pupil about school was prepared by the teacher and placed on the network. In the ICT suite pupils worked on the material using colour coding to highlight useful or adaptable language or language which they found difficult. Pupils saved their colour-coded versions of the letter to their own space on the network for later use when preparing the photo story script.
