The Languages ICT website has been developed by CILT, the National Centre for Languages and the Association for Language Learning (ALL) with start-up funding from the Department for Education and Skills, via its ICT in Schools division. It is both a gateway signposting existing resources and a bank of new materials for supporting teachers of languages in their use of ICT. We hope that you will find the information and guidance useful and easy to access.
The website content will expand and extend over time as work is completed and further developments take hold, so do keep visiting us. The Languages ICT initiative is not limited to these web pages, however, as there are a growing number of associated projects and publications, such as the Action Research project, and the Computer know-how guides for non-Roman script languages. These will all be disseminated through the website in due course.
Acknowledgements
Special acknowledgement must go to Claire Dugard, Terry Cooper and the Special Interest Group for ICT at ALL for bringing these projects to fruition and writing the bulk of the website content.
